Woke up at 7 am. Got period. Awesome.
Cooking class today though! all positive
We went to the bus station and bought 2 two-way tickets to Panzano, where our cooking class was.

It was about an hour bus ride through the countryside. As soon as we left the walls of the city, the scenery changed to something out of a movie set in Tuscany or the hillsides in Italy. Vineyards, gorgeous mountains, winding roads through tall lush trees.

The movies got it right, that’s really what it looks like lol
We arrived in Panzano and Gullietta ( the owner of the bed and breakfast that we were taking the cooking class at ) came and picked us up at the station. She was just so cute. She had this long grey hair parted in the middle and pulled into a low pony tail. The B&B was so quite and amazing. It was a hillside cottage.
Cute fedora man cleaning the pool

Hey look at that! I am in focus

Its hard to take a picture of the two of us. drastic times...

One other couple joined us for the class. They were from New York and extremely nice, with a baby on the way J

The menu:
1.     Apple cake
2.     Meat, slow cooked in wine, tomato sauce, and veggies for an hour and a half
3.     Fresh pasta ravioli with spinach ricotta filling
4.     Fresh spaghetti with sage pesto

kneading the pasta

stuffing ravioli

spagetti

Making the pasta was so much work but great fun.
After three hours of cooking we sat down to enjoy our meal. We ate ourselves into a coma. So much food and Chianti wine. It was bliss.

We caught the 3:30 bus back to Firenze. We went to the hotel’s main office to get on the internet and look up a few tours mom heard about.
We soon struck up a convo with these two girls in the same room who were recent William and Mary graduates. Both so smart and gorgeous. The four of us talked for about an hour and  a half. We talked about traveling and school and sororities and their future jobs. I have girl crushes on the both of them. We almost went to dinner with them but I was wiped out.

New shirt

new shirt! wahoo
We went back to our room (the villa, we call it) changed into something cute and went for a walk and dinner. Mom was shocked that I wanted food again.
She doesn’t get that I need food all the time.
hmmm. looks strikingly familiar to the meat we made for lunc

mom's bread thing. not too good
We were going to go to the Duomo but it was dark and sketchy so we went to a place that the owner of our hotel suggested for gelato and man was it delicious.
